Who is Faith Presbyterian Church?

We are a dedicated group of Christian believers who strive to impact the local community of Baytown and our surrounding areas. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We are excited about the new and exciting changes coming to our Body of Believers and we invite to get on board.

Will I have to stand up in front of people?

Some churches call on their visitors to stand up during the service and introduce themselves. While the people at Faith are genuinely interested in getting to know you and make you feel welcome, we will never call on you or embarrass you in any way. You can relax and enjoy meeting people at your own pace.

Do I have to dress up?

No, you don't. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some, that may mean dressing up, but for most it simply means wearing casual clothes. The New Testament simply instructs us to dress modestly and decently, so we do not burden people unnecessarily by requiring them to dress up in fancy clothes they do not normally wear just to "go to church." We want everyone to come, be comfortable, and enjoy learning about God together.

What time do your services start?

We offer two worship experiences. Our 10:30 am service is called our customary service and is the more traditional service. Our 8:30 am service is known as our Celebration Service and is our more contemporary service. Sunday School for all ages is at 9:15 am. Throughout the year we also offer other special worship services. Faith U Students, our youth ministry meets most Sundays from 5:00-7:00 in the Youth Activity Area. We also meet at other times for Bible studies, prayer and other fellowship opportunities. Please check out the church calendar for dates and times of other activities.

Where will my children go during the service?

We love children at Faith and offer a Children's Time during our 10:30 am Customary Worship Service! After the Children's Time the kids are invited to attend their own Children's Worship Service.

Do I have to be a Member to participate?

At Faith, you do not have to be a member to participate in Ministry Functions. Quite frankly, we want as many non-members to participate as possible. We offer many events and festivals to the community and encourage participation by all members and non-members.

What's the preaching like?

Our Ministry in the Word of God is challenging,loving and encouraging. You will never find Faith a place where you will be judged or made to feel awkward. Our goal is to challenge you to be men and women of faith through the life changing work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

What kind of music do you have?

We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary worship services praising God with great church hymns of both past and present, as well as using a blend of music styles to glorify God. Offerings of praise and thanksgiving are expressed through timeless music led by our choir. You will hear a great mix of new and older music - plenty of songs you know and love; popular contemporary Christian music, original compositions, old gospel favorites, and some traditional music.

The focus of all of our worship services is to bring glory to God and to support and encourage every worshipper in their journey of faith.
